Personally, I think it'd look better without the gradient; I'd like to see the darker gray used exclusively.

Well, I don't really like loud soundsets, they're too distracting when you're doing other things, so I prefer a quiet reminder that I have a message, not a loud alert.

Very nice, excellent style. I like the green how it is, it looks much better than most green variations that I have seen.
