This has indeed been done before, but my version gets the colours spot-on. Download the other version, if you like, and put it next to iChat in the dock. You should be able to observe some tiny defects.

The point of this icon is to imitate iChat exactly. If you’re looking for an animated icon check out my other icon-set: iChatisation.

Firstly, I take no credit for this icon-set. All credit goes to Apple.

I’m sure it probably is copyrighted; but I’m certainly not the first to do this, and no one else has received cease and desist letters from Apple Legal.

At the end of the day, we’ve all bought copies of OS X — in a way buying the rights to use the iChat icon. How we use it is sort of up to us. That’s how I see it.

Well, a few months back I made one identical to iChat — i.e., no animation, no extra colours. This is what I use right now, but I never actually submitted it here; until now. I just posted it but it'll take a few days to appear. I have also emailed you a copy, if you're interested in getting an early viewing. Hee hee.
