Description

This script is designed to be put in your away messages (just add %missnothing to the the end) to pause iTunes tracks so that you miss nothing. (Hence the icon. This is what is known as a pune or play on words.) You may also want to set Adium to change your status to Away after a certain number of minutes so iTunes will mute when you walk away. This can be done by going to the Status pane of the Preferences window and switching to the Idle tab.

You can also customize the script to mute general system volume as well as pausing iTunes. Of course, when you come back you have to manually resume playback/unmute the system.

  • 1.4 :: Added Readme file with instructions on how to customize the script and how to install the script properly.
  • 1.3 :: Automatically fades out iTunes/DVD Player volume before pausing. Thanks to macskeeball for the suggestion! Also includes a bunch of boolean declarations at the beginning of the script so you can customize it easily, like enabling the DVD Player muter or turning off the iTunes fader.
  • 1.2 :: [Several minutes later.] Realized that watching DVDs often involves leaving your computer inactive for long periods of time, so it's gone again, and there goes the only other thing I know how to pause... still in the code if you want it though. If you can think of anything else music-y that could use attention, email or IM me or post here. Thanks!
  • 1.1 :: [Hours after posting.] Added DVD Player functionality.

Note:
    This script has a small issue under Adium 0.71, for best results make sure Adium is up-to-date.

Hi, i am trying to customise your script to fade up the volume as well, how would i do this, i have treid to simply reverse your math sum, but it didnt work.
