Based on the turl AppleScript, this one does the same job, but using tinyarro.ws's URL shortening service.
Copy a URL from a browser window or wherever, type %_tarrow in an IM window, and hit enter- you'll send a tinyarro.ws shortened version of the URL.

The interesting thing is the newly created URL, which uses puny code encoded URLs. As a result of that you can get a link that looks like http://➡.ws/紉樚 (links to http://adiumxtras.com).
If your chat partner clicks on the link, a page will be displayed that shows the long version of the link and after some seconds the page will be loaded.
