DescriptionAnd here it is, FINALLY!The cousin to the much hyped iDium Message Window mod. I present to you, the AdiumyChat message style! The theme has the following incoming message colours : Aqua Aqua Light Graphite Green Light Green Lemon Lime Neutral Green Orange Pink Purple White Yellow Pro Pro Alt Also included are - custom scrollbars - smooth scrolling - fading in chat bubbles - animated links See the animations in action : http://drp.ly/zhe8D NOTE: you need safari 4 for the custom scrollbars and animations to work IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 1.7 USERS: Due to the magnitude of the code changes, you should restart adium, toggle between adiumychat and any other messagestyle and then toggle between the variants in adiumychat to clear any cache adium might have kept Changesv1.9- new scrollbar. crisper and much more elegant with custom backgrounds - new animated header style - code improvements. up to x5 faster primary loading time - new method of showing incoming usernames. hover over the incoming avatar - tweaked animaions - fixed another scrollbar bug - fixed but with timestamps in certain languages - fixed bug where bubbles might randomly disappear v1.8 - two bubble type: Classic and New - completely rewritten code, its faster, leaner and much easier to modify - less overhead, reducing lag even further - new method of changing variants (again, easier to modify) - less than half the size of 1.7 - 62 new variants (!!) - custom text selection background - better text selection (the best found in ANY adium bubble style) - fixed bug with timestamps - fixed scrolling bug - fixed bug when header is disabled Known Issue: Sometimes the bubbles are not shown in the message preview, however, they work perfectly in actual chats v1.7 - new bubbles - better link styles - smoother scrolling - fixed a scrolling bug while resizing windows - fixed text alignment - fixed emote alignment - added custom file transfer dialog - added new Pro variants - custom text highlight colours - smoother fade in animations v1.6: - added timestamp & status backgrounds - new animations - new link styles - fixed issue with outgoing bubbles - added inset effect to text - better support for custom backgrounds - leaner code v1.5: - new scrollbars with translucency (looks better on coloured / translucent backgrounds) - minor code tweaks v1.4: - added custom background support - fixed bug with timestamps - fixed vertical text spacing inside bubbles, text is now centred - tweaked animations v1.3 -added two new variants : Pro and Pro Alt -added Shuffle All (for both incoming AND outgoing) -added Shuffle (Aqua outgoing) -added Shuffle (Green outgoing) -added Shuffle (Graphite outgoing) -added Shuffle (White outgoing) -tweaked link animations -reduced resize lag (almost unnoticeable unless you have 700+ messages in the convo) v1.2 - added outgoing colours : Aqua, Graphite, Green, White [more to come soon!] v 1.1 -added timestamps -increased minimum bubble height -fixed (one of the) lag issues - refined animations a bit ImagesCommentsYou can reply to individual comments by clicking the "Reply" link next to each. # by gferreroferri on 03/12/10 at 18:43:28How did you get the input area like in iChat??? %username%%message% basically, there's no spacing between the two values. Also most themes tend to style the /me style commands a little differently so that would be nice... but hardly required. I can point to a screenshot if this description doesn't make sense. I have tested with all my fiends list, and no bubbles at all. One question though: When is the iChat style message input box going to be implemented? It's pretty much the only thing missing now, and I can't wait. # by rob-to86 on 10/17/10 at 23:18:51Hi, I think I've found the issue. So since http://trac.adium.im/ticket/11285, 1.5hg's Xtras Manager displays versions. But for AdiumyChat (and others) it does not.
i believe that's because it includes the name of the style in the CFBundleGetInfoString key (e.g. "AdiumyChat 1.9" instead of "1.9"). # by ronald_poi on 09/12/10 at 19:32:53I really like this style. It's the best bubble there is. So great! But there is an issue, though. I don't really like/care about the scroll. To me, default OS controllers should remain. But that's not the main issue. The thing is that the new scroll doesn't start so good. When opening a new chat window, the scroll is already on place, scrolling some blank space, and that blank space has a bigger height than the window. The first message written or received goes way up, in a scrolled view (it shouldn't be scrolled, there's just one line!).

the only method that scrolls properly makes the window lag so much that it freezes up after 700 or so messages. until i manage to find a new scrolling script, you're just gonna have to deal with it or try another style :) cheers # by ronald_poi on 09/12/10 at 21:33:27I know what you mean, I also have similar situations when web developing. # by d3l1r1um on 04/14/11 at 08:42:13are you sure this is scroll-related? i noticed that the issue (with the scroll showing up even though there shouldn't be anything to scroll, because there are only a few messages) only occurs when the header is displayed. no header, no weird scroll bar on open.
