6 Simple icons designed to display minimal but sufficient information about your contacts.

Buddy List (2 icons):
-away
-idle
Availability is the default, which warrants no extra information and thus no icon.

Tabs (4 icons):
-typing
-enteredtext
-active - an icon for any open conversation, regardless of whether the contact is away, idle, or available
-content - darkest icon
Tab icons convey only how much attention you must pay to the conversation. Since many people leave up away messages even when they are around, the contact's status is irrelevant. There are only three possibilities: in conversation (active), content, or offline (no icon). So the darker the icon, the more pressing that tab is.
