The communicator sound is sweet for first message received. I'm using a custom set with that sound from this set.

Sweet sound set. I love the doorbell chime for the first message received. It's more distinct than the iChat sound set, but less grating than the AIM sound set. Good job!

I dig it, except, I wish the new message sound was cleaner.
