DescriptionA bridge application between Adium and Address Book used to search, manage and keep your contacts in sync.
It is an AppleScript application with a nice Cocoa interface. Full sources available. More info: AdiumBook site IMPORTANT: If you're in Tiger, make sure you have Adium version 1.3 or later. Changes

But it would be even nicer if it worked both ways (copying photos, add addresses from AB to Adium etc.) - for short: Have the three (non-find) buttons on both sides. Then it'd be a VERY useful app. at least for me.
# by Mojoscream on 10/14/07 at 07:36:36I agree whole heartedly! i would love to be able to make sure that all my addres Book contacts are in Adium in a quick way. Please add this in for version 1.4!!!
# by zoombronco on 10/21/05 at 14:40:21Yeah, I love this app. It would also be very useful to allow MULTIPLE screennames for the same client. I have some friends with 2 Yahoo! IDs, or two AIM IDs, or with whom I chat by sending to their cell phone through one of the services along with a screenname. Right now, you can only add one ID per service...
# by friedfandango on 02/14/06 at 18:03:57Worked great for me. But same issue as zoombronco with a single contact in Address Book having multiple accounts with the same service. Its possible to go into address book and add them manually though.
Also the other thing I noticed was that contacts in Adium on my Google Talk list did not populate as Jabber accounts. The contact name was shown on the Adium side but the jabber field was blank. # by aurelio on 09/23/06 at 03:11:04Hello all,
Multiple accounts for the same service are (finally) implemented on the new version 1.3. Please check it out and tell me any problem. Enjoy! # by zoombronco on 09/27/06 at 12:37:19dude, awesome update!
the multiple screennames per services works great. only snag is, i think the "Report -> Contacts in Adium but not in AB" doesn't recognize the SNs in multiple service contacts... most of the contacts reported by that report were already in my AB. still a cool feature, tho. it worked for contacts that were in my AB but not in Adium. :) # by mashby on 09/27/06 at 19:18:22Great little app!
The only thing I wish is that it could do a batch sync and walk through each contact to speed things up, but that a small thing in the overall scheme of things. Nice work, thank you for this! # by Dachaz on 02/15/07 at 23:30:40Fantastic app! Saved me 1.5 hours (if the integrated calculation thingie is correct ;))
Though, I may have found a bug: when I select a contact from the left list with a mouse everything loads up ok, but if I select the next one with the keyboard the data is kept from the last one clicked but yet if I am to press the copy picture or copy IM button the highlighted one will be copied instead of displayed one. Great work, anyhow! # by tasmanian_devil on 03/26/07 at 00:41:34awesome! I've been using mac since christmas, so I installed adium, and I loved address book, and I like to be organized, so that just works out perfectly! :D AWESOME!
# by fish3k1 on 02/16/08 at 11:09:17I'm getting the message "Adium got an error: Can't make every into type reference, (-1700).
I have no idea what this means, but I do know the Address book contacts are loading and the Adium contacts aren't. # by aurelio on 02/16/08 at 11:49:20Hello fish3k1,
If you're in Leopard: You need to upgrade AdiumBook to version 1.3.1. If you're in Tiger: You need to downgrade Adium to version 1.1.4 or older. More info at http://aurelio.net/soft/adiumbook/#issues # by torusturtle on 04/14/08 at 09:43:40Hi
Thanks for this cool tool! Could you add Skype support? And I found out that searching in the address book doesn't work if you search for a name of a contact which has company selected. In that case only the company name can be found. Cheers. # by aurelio on 08/26/08 at 20:31:25The new Adium 1.3 is out, which fixes the errors of AdiumBook in Tiger.
