Description

I always preferred using iChat in text mode, but all of the iChat-inspired Adium message styles mimic bubble view. So I hacked iChadiumMod.

The colors are the same as iChat's, and with the exception of the appearance of a time-stamp on the left, it looks exactly the same as iChat's text mode.

Because Adium allows multiple accounts to be logged in simultaneously - something I frequently use - the outgoing name is your sn/id, rather than your alias. This way you know which account you're chatting from.

Fixed a problem where text would not wrap properly; now the scrollbar generated is confined to the specific line of text.

I donp;t understand the "shuffle" variant. I expected it to use a different color for each session (i.e. shuffle the colors ala the way iChat picks a random color) but I'm not seeing that.

That's what I want.

The shuffle variant is a holdover from the versions on which the mod is based (iChadiumMod, iChadium, and iChat Clone.) Shuffle cannot work because CSS doesn't allow for a color to be selected at random; such a selection requires another program written in a language beyond my capabilities. If anyone knows how to write and implement such a feature, I'd love to add it to the mod.

Great message style. It's my favorite one.

The only problems I've had with it is non-wrapping text. ie: long website addresses.
Other than that it's really solid and useable.

Looks like this style is pretty inactive/not updated, but I figured I'd leave this here. I've been using this style for probably three years now, and I love it, it's perfect for me. But in the last few months or so, it's stopped displaying the "X has left/entered the room" message. It just bumps the chat up a blank line. The message shows if I look in the chat logs, but not in the chat itself. The same explanation is basically here (http://trac.adium.im/ticket/15975) where I opened a support ticket. It's definitely this style, as I've changed to a different one now, and am getting the messages again.
