DescriptionRemember "Simple", from Adium 0.7 and before? Well, it's no longer bundled with Adium 0.8, so here it is instead! It's also had a couple of minor fixes. This is not my work, I am simply reposting it for those who are interested. I was wondering why they took it out of .8.. it's always been my favorite theme.
# by Anonymous on 05/04/05 at 20:31:04It's coming back AFAIK just once they make it compatable again :)
# by bob_the_gorilla on 05/04/05 at 20:32:56Actually - nope, it's gone from Adium for good. That's why Evan asked me to post this here :)
# by on 05/04/05 at 20:40:02Sweet. I was looking for this. It's always been my favourite; simple with a splash of colour. Thanks.
# by on 05/05/05 at 00:52:33Thank You!! I reverted back to 0.77 because I wanted this message style... Now I can use 0.80 !!
# by on 05/05/05 at 00:58:56Actually, it looks like "SimpleSeparateLines" is the message style I wanted.
# by on 05/05/05 at 08:35:24i love this theme, and have used it in previous versions of Adium. However, I wish we could change the color scheme from the blue and green. providing other combinations (blue, grey, red, purple, etc etc) would make this really perfect.
# by on 05/06/05 at 02:56:17Thank you! I was asking about this on the forum and now here it is. It looks great.
Two minor points. I think someone on the forum mentioned they preferred the option where additional messages could be indented. I would like that too. Also, I BELIEVE in the original you coould have the time appear unobtrusively over to the right of the message, instead of appearing directly by the user's name. If I'm misremembering, I apologize, but if not, that would be lovely. Thank you! # by luis on 05/07/05 at 22:03:25I tried this, but settled on SimpleSeparateLines. The reason is that the behavior for adjaced messages from the same person just isn't what I wanted. Look at the two adjacent lines by "Evan" in the screenshot here: the second doesn't have the name.
# by Wes on 06/20/05 at 22:04:35Why does the line of user text increase in font size once it's entered? The other Simplicity style does this also, and it's driving me nuts.
# by Skyfaller on 06/30/05 at 03:58:17I'd really like to see Retro get updated... I'm still using it even though it's slightly broken, that's how much I like it :-)
