Hrmm. I do have the same problem. I don't really mind having the grainy text, so I think i'll leave it with merged bubbles, but I may also try and poke around to find the cause.

This is very pretty, however I really miss having bubbles merge when I say two/three/four things in a row. I do like the new name/timestamp, but I still kinda prefer the old version.
