I have an idea for a similar feature. Instead of showing thumbnail of the video you fetch the name of the video and displays that right after the link.
Like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaUULepIpbA [Norsk helpdesk]
or just:
[YouTube: Norsk helpdesk]
and make that text clickable.
