I'd like to suggest a different 'Alert' icon. The '!' style has been done to death, and I feel like this icon is so unique and clean that using the '!' is just settling. It's the only icon in the set that isn't really off-centered, and personally that is what I loved about this. Just a thought. I also second the idea for animating the connection icon.
