Well it works buzzing somebody else, now if it could only work with somebody buzzing you.... hmm

when you get buzzed doesn't the screen appear as "BUZZ!"? there's no sound associated though. unfortunately you can't script for that with the current version of Adium. the script's awesome, something that I do actually need occasionally. kudos to you for finding a solution!

Isn't it possible to just enter "" to produce buzzing in Yahoo! Messenger?

Hmm, did display? how to encode this so that it shows up in these comments? you would have to enter the word "ding" in tag brackets (i.e. the "smaller than" and "greater than" symbols) (and without the quotes, of course)

I installed the Buzz xtra but it doesn't work. My friend says he/she doesn't get any Buzz there.
Any suggestion?

I tried buzzing myself (one account running on Adium and another on YIM), but it didn't work. Just showed up as an empty message.

Adium doesn't support buzzing.

Current Gaim source supports buzzing (only in a "Buzz" displayed sort of way, not the obnoxious window shaking way)... Can't remember if libgaim includes this at present or not, but it will in the future.
