# by alexdagrate on 11/02/04 at 11:11:04The rivalry between the University of Washington in Seattle and the University of Oregon in Eugene is one of the oldest, fiercest rivalries on the west coast. They have been playing each other in football since 1900. It is not uncommon to see bumber stickers that say "Support a Husky-Free Northwest" all over Oregon. Any Duck moving to Seattle and becoming a Husky fan would be a true traitor.
This also plays off on the fact that I moved from Seattle to Oregon and became a Ducks fan. When I returned to Seattle for the football game, I was rudely received and called a traitor by my former fellow-Huskies. Post a New CommentYou must be logged in to post comments. |
