DescriptionThis is a very simple plugin that allows you to easily make links to topics. I created this b/c I'm always talking to a friend and need to send links to various places and I haven't actually visited those pages so this makes it a bit easier. This was something I through together VERY quickly so if you have any feature requests please let me know and I'll be glad to add it in. Once again, its currently just being made to scratch my own itch! I've listed the commands below that can be used. Please note that all commands can be used in the form %_command{argument} or /command{argument}, I just prefer the shorter version so I only detail it
For those of you who don't know anything about using AppleScripts you may want to try something simple like this if you wanted a friend research Relient K on AmazonMP3
This would produce a link directly to an amazonmp3 search for Relient K. If you wanted to send a link to pictures of Jonathan Taylor Thomas (off the wall I know lol), then you would use the following directly in your chat window:
A link to Google Images search would be created directly to your chat. Once again, this was made very quickly so I apologize for any bugs you may incur, please let me know about them! ChangesUpdated the google link to make it work correctly. I used an incorrect query before, sorry for the problems. Should be available as soon as it is approved.CommentsYou can reply to individual comments by clicking the "Reply" link next to each. # by aethiolas on 02/09/09 at 18:29:48Thanks! I hope you enjoy it and if you have any ideas please let me know.
# by theadamkramer on 06/10/09 at 04:11:48This is a cool idea, and i have wanted something like this for a while! Thank you!
If i could offer an idea/suggestion, I think it would be nice to be able to invoke a youtube search (for example) by typing /youtube{argument} like the /google one. Video/Movie/Music are slightly vague, and some people might prefer rhapsody over Amazon for music searching (not me, but just saying), or google video for video searching. Request Summary: /youtube{argument} (perhaps even /youtubehd to search only high def?) /amp3{argument} /rhapsody{argument} (http://mp3.rhapsody.com/-search?query...RhapKeyword) /gvideo{argument} (http://video.google.com/videosearch?q...+TEXT+HERE#) /lyrics{argument} (http://www.google.com/custom?&sitesea...H+TEXT+HERE) Post a New CommentYou must be logged in to post comments. |
