Xbox Live Status

Description

Displays your currently playing game on Xbox Live or if you're offline, your last played game. Windows Live Messenger automatically does this but this script will let your Yahoo, AIM, etc. buddies see your Xbox Live status.

Usage
Type %_xbl{Your Gamertag} on your status or message windows.

Example: %_xbl{markster12}

Status refreshes every 5 minutes.

Customization options coming soon. For now, feel free to modify the script to your liking.

I have this script, but all it outputs is "Status Unavailable." My XBL is Nekonaru Letao.

It might have failed on the first try and it's showing you the cached text. Most of the time this will be corrected on the next refresh so just keep your status up for 5 minutes.

If you don't want to wait, you can force the refresh by deleting com.adiumX.xboxlivetimer.scripts in ~/Library/Preferences/

Okay, I found the pref file, and deleted it. Still outputting "Status Unavailable." It's not working for the XBL tags of my other friends either.

Sorry, I don't really know what's going on. I tried your gamertag on mine and it's working flawlessly.

What Adium version you are using? Can you try deleting that file above and com.adiumX.xboxlivestatus.scripts in the same folder and see if that works? Don't make xbl as your status yet, just set it to available and then switch to xbl after deleting the pref files.

If it still doesn't work, send me a quick email at markcas (at) gmail (dot) com and I'll give you a modified version of the script that doesn't do any caching.

I'm running 3b9. I tried deleting both, and did as you said. Still nothin'.

I'm using v1.2.7 and trying to make the script work without putting it in my status... no matter whose gamertag I use I am getting "Xbox 360: Status unavailable (GAMERTAG)" or "Xbox 360: (GAMERTAG)"!

Any ideas? Not working for me. :( I tried deleting the pref file.
