Description

In an effort to make instant messages more beautiful, this script replaces a, e, i, o, u and their respective uppercase characters with umlauts.

Usage:

/umlaut {text}

Example:

/umlaut {The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an application-level protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems.}

Output:

Thë Hypërtëxt Tränsfër Prötöcöl (HTTP) ïs än äpplïcätïön-lëvël prötöcöl för dïstrïbütëd, cölläbörätïvë, hypërmëdïä ïnförmätïön systëms.

To type a letter with an umlaut, press option+u then press the character you want with an umlaut. I believe this only works with a, e, i, o, and u but there might be a couple more.
