as much as i love half life and portal, i think you could have done a better job on this. perhaps if you made the image entirely out of paths, and removed the bevel. a lot of times, unless used properly, bevels are quite tacky (especially in this case as the edges are rough). check other icons and try to follow their graphic styles.
