Description

I've been playing Portal developed by Valve and it's fantastic! The voice-overs alone make the game what it is.

So what do I decide to do? Work out how to extract the audio files and make an Adium sound set of course!
This is my very first sound set, so comments and constructive criticism are very welcome.

Changes

Decided to change the send and receive sounds to opening the red and blue portals. Having GLaDOS speak every time a message came got annoying quickly.

Excellent, very good stuff. Only annoying thing is that I'm waiting on my first Xtra, of a similar concept, to go through! However mine is the voice of the robot turrets - lots of fun recording those!

did you get the audio files by extracting them from portal's game files or recording them when they played?

Although this set is great overall, i was incredibly upset when the "File Transfer Success" sound was not "This was a triumph."

maybe i'll make a new soundset entirely dedicated off the ending song...

Very Very cool. With facebook chat linked the disconnected sound can be a bit annoying, but is cool none the less.

This is _very_ nice. Some of the effects are a bit longer then I would like, but there isn't much that could be done about that--if they were shorter, they also wouldn't be so funny. ^_^
