Description

I like the Adiumy dock icons a lot, but i want the dock icon to show as many states as it can and that they don't do.
So I made my own and I thought they were nice. It aren't much i have done but it changes it a bit.

The states are as following:
Offline, a sleeping duck
Online, a woken duck
Away, a shade of a duck
Idle, a sleepy duck
Invisible, a waving, eye-closing duck
Connect, an awakening duck
Alert: a flapping duck

At the moment their are 11 colors:
Yellow, as the sun
Red, as the love
Purple, as the flower
Green, as the grass
Blue, as the sky
White, as the clouds
Orange, as the fire
Magenta, as the sunrise
Cyan, as the sea
Brown, as the ground
Grey, as the mountains
Black, as the night

Enjoy

I love the connecting animation! I'm using the default signpost away, but otherwise, brilliant idea! I'm replacing Adium's innards with these.

If you have any sugestions in how to make a Away duck, please tell.

Turned around: face to the other side, so that the duck is turned with its back to the user (showing its tail)

I have thought about it, but it a bit hard to do. and I'm not good at imaging

At the risk of confusing those with http://creativebits.org/mac_os_x/semi...hidden_apps enabled (myself included), you could use a semitransparent duck. At the risk of alienating those with black, grey or white ducks, you could use a grey duck. At the risk of defenestrating those with the "Use Grayscale" option enabled in System Preferences > Universal Access, you could make the entire duck, including the beak, monochromatic. Both the grey duck and the monochromatic duck would need to use greys matching the brightness of the duck, i.e. a yellow duck would have a lighter grey than a green one would.

None of them is actually better then the one used right now, so I'll stick to that one. But I might try to do a backside-duck, but just now I'm working on the colorfull version of Badges.

I am thinking of updating with new colors and maby new away. I'll look into it more and I need to update them for leopard to.

Is there a way to have different alert animations for different statuses? So if you're invisible the eyes would still be closed as it flaps if you received a message.
Otherwise tis good.

Sorry, Adium doesn't support this. Maybe they will do it in the future, if so I'll make an animation for it.

really nice one. Just away duck isn't fitting well to the rest. Maybe it could be replaced with some nicer icon..
