*personally, I find the default blue aqua theme distracting in the GUI (Graphite version here). However, Señor Carro and mcnalzer disagree ;)

(Also, Lassi's Chatlight Xtra is a better alternative if you're looking for menu bar notifications for states such as idle, away, invisible etc.)
