DescriptionThis is essentially Scottish's %_tunes script packaged to work with the new script package format. Does all sorts of fancy stuff, including streaming music.Note from Scottish I passed this through temporarily until I can repack the original with full documentation and image preview and stuff. Look for that soon :) CommentsYou can reply to individual comments by clicking the "Reply" link next to each. # by on 07/24/04 at 20:06:58Where the F is the documentation, if no one used the scottish script they will have no clue how to use this one, good job
# by brdoco on 07/30/04 at 13:07:07how did you edit it? i can't get the script to open in ScriptEditor or TextEdit..
# by capacity on 08/28/04 at 04:59:02Sorry about the lack of documentation. Although I posted this script I don't have Scottish's original documentation. He was supposed to post his new version with documentation over a month ago, and I have no idea why it isn't up yet. Anyway, typing %_tunes returns whatever is playing in iTunes.
# by Micheal on 08/30/04 at 04:25:54Is this possible to put this in your screen name? eg. On MSN, your name can be whatever, can I add it there kind of ala what iChatStatus does with iChat?
# by Scottish on 09/05/04 at 19:53:55Hey hey.
I've been a bad boy. I'm very sorry. I'm back at school, running my Mac full-time again, so I should be able to find time to squeeze it in somewhere :) # by BlueRevolution on 09/21/04 at 04:37:44Micheal - I've tried it, with limited success. For some reason I end up getting the first dozen or so letters, like "Now playing: Prid..." No idea how to fix this, I've cracked it open in script editor to no avail.
# by on 09/28/04 at 04:19:55BlueRevolution - I've never got it to work, though I think it may be that Adium itself needs to add support to putting in scripts for the screen name or something similar.
# by Ash on 11/18/04 at 04:51:07Well it would be good if I actually knew what it did...not everyone around here knows who "Scottish" is or what his script did...
# by SilverDemon on 11/22/04 at 23:40:57All I can do with this is insert it as my away message or manually type in %_tunes for it to display in the message window as just another message.. this isn't like iChatStatus, is it?
I can see other people's status messages, but I can't set my own? bah. # by on 12/09/04 at 21:41:44So let's say I just want an Adium script that duplicates the functionality of iChatStatus -- does such a thing exist? I can't figure out how to do that with this script... of course, I can't quite figure out how to do ANYTHING with this script. ;-D
# by on 12/27/04 at 06:22:13Chris - You're not the only one. I'm still looking for something like that also. :)
# by Dom on 04/15/05 at 18:04:17This works fine for me. I use Adium for the MSN function, all I did was put as my Display Name: "Me %_tunes" (minus quotation marks) and this makes it appear as my full name appear as the track name etc. but it is too long to use functionally
# by on 05/06/05 at 17:35:18That's fun, but it will be better if nothing apear when no music is played, so i can use this fonction on my name
# by on 05/10/05 at 12:34:03My scripts aren't working since I upgraded to iTunes 4.8 this morning! ARRRRRRRRGHH!!
