DescriptionStatus icons that look like a continuous line. An experiment. There are three variations as of now. Blue, B+W, and Rainbow. As far as I know, they are pretty visible on most backgrounds. Download no longer includes layout. Adjust the spacing on your list layout until the lines connect. :3 I know the preview for the Rainbow variation looks weird. .__. When someone types, they're usually online right? So the yellow gets in between green and red. : D Also it was supposed to look more like a classic color representation for status icons. ^^; Changes2.0 - Addition of Straight Lines! They come in the same colors as the previous Curvy Ones. Also, a new mobile icon for the curvy set that hopefully falls "in line" better. :31.0 - Initial Release ImagesCommentsYou can reply to individual comments by clicking the "Reply" link next to each. # by BlackandWhitePenguin on 06/10/07 at 15:15:09This is really cool. You might want to make a version that is just straight lines for a more minimal look.
# by tasmanian_devil on 06/10/07 at 22:15:16Nvm. I am an idiot. Anyway, I luv it. But the contact list is REALLY SMALL! Can you make a bigger one? I am just wondering.
# by mathuaerknedam on 06/11/07 at 12:59:54Cool, I applaud your creativiy in linking adjacent status indicators. I just wish halo on the mobile icon didn't visually "break" the line.
# by mathuaerknedam on 06/11/07 at 13:00:56Oh, and I second the request for a straight line version.
# by coerul on 06/11/07 at 15:44:16I struggle with the mobile icons on my status sets. x.x I considered at first just making it grey, but then it looks too much like the black and white set. I hesitate to add anything to the lines (an early draft used crossing lines to indicate certain statuses, but it looked crowded and cut off the flow)
Any suggestions are welcome. :3 # by mathuaerknedam on 06/11/07 at 15:51:54I'd just use a particular color for mobile. I've developed a normal set of colors that I've become accustomed to using, and I usually end up modifying posted status indicators to use my colors. Sometimes I tweak colors in photoshop, but I try using the included colors first. I can send you the rearranged version if you'd like.
# by coerul on 06/11/07 at 15:57:22By all means, send them over. :3
But how would a color work with monochromatic sets like the blue or b+w set? I suppose I could simply make the mobile the same as online, but that gets confusing (especially when people decide to be mobile all the time and not answer, like the people on my list). # by mathuaerknedam on 06/11/07 at 16:25:30I'm not sure, I don't find different shades of the same color to adequate distinguish different stati for me, so I never use them. :)
I compromises the consistency, but maybe a small round dot next to the line would work? # by BlackandWhitePenguin on 06/12/07 at 03:18:35What if you have a white vein running through the (black) line? I'm not sure if this will make it look more or less fractured, but it seems worth a try.
# by BlackandWhitePenguin on 06/12/07 at 03:19:55Or come to think of it, just plain black is probably best for the rainbow and blue sets.
# by m1kee on 11/04/07 at 07:17:27Very original! Except I think that in the rainbow set, the colors for idle and content/typing are confusing, because usually idle is yellow. And what about making offline gray or something, for the rainbow set? Just a suggestion. :) But I love it nevertheless!
# by m1kee on 11/04/07 at 11:53:10I used yours in a contact list theme i made, btw. I credited you, and linked this page. :) http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a...tra_id=4936
# by mathuaerknedam on 04/01/08 at 01:33:14Cool!
# by mathuaerknedam on 04/01/08 at 01:39:47One suggestion is to rename the curvy lines something like "CurvyBlueLines" so that they are grouped together in the menu.
