Vistadium

Submitted By D1337 (noobishtendancies)

Description

This is just a few of the sounds from Windows Vista. While I'm not a huge fan of Windows, I think this sound set is very clean and non-intrusive.

Changes

Not sure if this one will work...but it's worth a shot.

the sound set can't be installed because it's not in .AdiumSoundset

I get a problem; "decompression failed" after downloading with Safari; it's a folder full of iTunes files.

Can you fix this please? Thanks.

also, after looking at the file, (which you can open Governor) there is no playlist file. Therefore even if you manually try to change the .zip to .AdiumSoundSet, nothing would happen. You could manually make a playlist using the file Sounds.plist and then input all the information. e.g. the sound "recieved file" could be recieve.wav. Then just put the .plist file in the folder and change the whole folder file to .AdiumSoundSet

Can you explain this a bit easier for me?

I d/l the file; it's a folder of the .wav files.

What do I do exactly with the Sounds.plist file again?

Thanks.

I successfully did what you said, but the files are silent when I try to test them within Adium. Have I done something wrong?

Sorry peoples, I'm not sure what I did wrong. The sound files are .wav's so im not sure how exactly to incorporate them into Adium itself. However, until I fix the problem I can tell you of a way to use this soundset. First download the file (don't install) then decompress it (if I compressed it right). Then put the folder with the sounds somewhere on you're machine where you can access them easily. Then when editing your sounds within adium, select "other" and choose the folder with the vista sounds in it, then select the sound you want. If that doesn't work than I'm afraid you'll have to wait till I resolve this.
