Description

This extra began life as a hybrid of elements inspired by my experience switching between AIM on a PC and iChat on the Mac. It's since evolved into something slightly more unique. This xtra has been in hibernation quite some time but due to recent popular demand I'm resubmitting the last saved version I had back to the site, and will try to give it some fresh life with an update soon!

I'm not trying to jump the gun and start at version six, this is just as far as they'd come before I took this xtra down originally. Hopefully v.7 is on the way.

This is great! After years of using AIM on Windows, these icons are the intuitive ones to me. These are also very lovely. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that these are a bit too light (I like light-colored elements, but sometimes I can't easily distinguish between available/away/etc. icons at a quick glance.) Other than that, these are one of the best sets I've seen available.

Thanks for the kind words, glad to know the objective was reached. I'd agree that they could still use a little tweaking, but after a hard drive failure I've never gotten around to recreating the set to address some issues... one of which being how similar the circles are. There was once a version that more closely mimicked AIM where there was no icon for certain states, I wonder if there's any interest in that variant for the former Windows users?

Finally an Xtra I really like. Although I am a bit tacky on that star, hopefully there can be a better replacement. More status icons would be a nice addition, like Busy and so on.
