I'd really like to see a few tiny alterations though. I find it rather hard to distinguish between my own and other people's messages (for example when the incoming message text color option is turned off). People setting their own text color is ok, but that becomes a problem when people use black text. Would it be possible to convert black text into white and leave other colors intact? Any other solutions for separating own messages from those of other people would be very welcome. # by player1 on 10/06/06 at 02:32:28The style is so nice...but can you please take away the smooth scroll? It seriously slows down the scrolling speed. This is very annoying because sometime I need to scroll through several hundred lines (yea, I chat that much).

However, your actual font _sending_ preferences (Apple-T when the message window is selected) should be black. That way Adium should reformat the message in white for display, but actually send a black font (and display that in the input area). That's how it works for me here, anyway!

There will be a gap between the icon and the reflection. The custom message background support would be really good in the next release indeed! I would like to try it with a quiet transparent background, maybe it looks good. And many other variations would be also good, for instance: bigger-smaller icons, a more minimalistic type with smaller fonts-icons etc... Also yeah I need the names and um if the text for the person you're speaking with is tabbed in a little bit away from yours you could read it easier. (Like ichat)

It's sufficiently different that it won't cause confusion (I'm normally not very happy about people posting modifications as if any future fixes are required, it's very unclear who is responsible for it). I would really appreciate it if you call it something completely different though: again, to make it crystal clear that it's nothing to do with me :-)

I can't change them individually, if I change the font colour for the style, it is changed for the output font colour as well. Doesn't matter which order I set them in.. Any hints on how to fix this?

2.) moved to /Users/[your_username]/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Message Styles 3.) opened the package content of Cinematic.AdiumMessageStyle 4.) moved to /Contents/Resources/ 5.) replaced the reflection.js with the new one 6.) opened reflection.js with dashcode and edited the line "defaultHeight : 0.5," to "defaultHeight : 0.3," and saved it ... Don't know if it's really named open content or something like show content. I'm from Germany so at me it's named Paketinhalt anzeigen.
And your name have to be in the user folder. If not you are not a user of that mac;). You have to know that there are no special characters like ß or ö allow/will not shown.
