Description

This soundset contains the wonderful Proteus Default Sounds which I have adored since first starting up the application. The odd quacks in Adium X irritated me to such an extent that I chose to port the Proteus soundpack. While longing for Proteus 4.5, I will just have to take comfort with it.

My sincere thanks to Defaultware Inc. who gave me permission to distribute the soundpack. You can find the Proteus site at: Defaultware.com

There's a very slight bug in the sound set... "First Received" is misspelled as "Firs Received" in the sound listing, which causes that particular sound not to play by default. Easily fixed by editing Proteus.txt, but it still deserves mentioning.

I only bring this up because the Proteus sound set is one of the best I've seen so far. :)

Ehm... maybe this violates someway the licence of Proteus? I don't know if its sounds are protected by copyright, should be checked...

A really nice soundset - gets your attention, but is pleasant and not intrusive. My new default setting.

these are quite nifty. my fave soundset thus far. kinda twinkly but not in a girly way.
