Wowza, that's some hot stuff! It's replacing domokun for me!

# by on 12/18/04 at 05:48:09

I'd love to see a message view / contact list to match.

# by joshua on 12/18/04 at 14:42:57

These are freakin cool. I love seeing original new icons.

# by trebe on 12/19/04 at 12:05:50

Very hot! I agree with edbury!

# by nanovivid on 12/19/04 at 20:34:50

Thanks for all the compliments. Of course, most of it goes to netghost since he made the original icon. I'm glad people are enjoying it though. :-)

I'll see what I can do about a companion message view and contact list... but no promises! ;-)

great conversion! :) is there an easy way to mod the dock icons?

# by nanovivid on 12/20/04 at 12:40:15

To change application icons in the dock, you have to change the application's icon. There's no way to change just the dock version of the icon. CandyBar - http://www.iconfactory.com/cb_home.asp - is one easy way to modify application icons (and the one I use personally).

This is by far one of the most creative uses of an icon I've ever seen. Many, many, MANY props to you for this excellent work.

how exactly do you turn netghost's objectdock package into a dock for the mac?

# by nanovivid on 12/22/04 at 17:21:19

Drag the PNG files into the image well of Pic2Icon - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/7046 - to add the Mac icons to the PNG files. Then drag the PNG files into CandyBar - http://www.iconfactory.com/cb_home.asp - to customize the Finder and Trash icons and change application icons to your liking. You can contact me if you're having trouble.

Netghost is my friend. He's actually sitting right here looking at the posts. He's excited that his art is being used for this purpose. Way to go.

i just spent an hour learning how to change my dock icons!! hahha..it was great fun.
except i dunno how too change the 'foreground' of the dock..the semi transparent bar behind all the icons? could anyone help me out..?

# by nanovivid on 01/20/05 at 12:55:23

yo - I use ClearDock - http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/cleardock - to remove the background. I believe there are other similar programs as well. Also, there is already a contact list style... I had just forgotted to modify the description of this Xtra to include the link. Now it's there. :-)

# by nanovivid on 01/21/05 at 07:50:38

"forgotted"... what in the world was I thinking? Ugh... replace that with "forgotten" and it will make much more sense. Wow.

great! i love this.

# by mayanchica on 02/11/05 at 14:13:46

hey...i'm not aware of policies regarding using other people's icon packages to make your own, but is it cool if i use just the package (i.e. none of the graphics) to make my own dock icon? i absolutely LOVE yours, by the way.

Thanks!

# by mayanchica on 02/11/05 at 14:16:15

on 2nd thought, i'm just going to post my icon (it's called aglo) and if you decide you don't want me using your icon package, just post a comment and i'll take it down. Thanks again!

hey there, it's be a while..
i've completely used to my dock being glitched, haha, and don't want it otherwise. just that i'm still stuck with a semi transparent retangle background of the dock. i know there are programs to remove it, but i want to use the foreground (grass) and background (moutains) that are included in the glitchdock package...anyone knows how to do that??

# by yo on 03/25/05 at 15:49:56

correction.
' I'm completely used to'
or i've completely gotten used to. hahahaha

# by on 06/11/05 at 07:52:43

Wow, its got style!

# by ianlafo on 07/26/05 at 03:11:51

I really, really love this. I was using a tree for the longest time, and decided I needed a change. Looks like I found the perfect thing to switch to. I love it! Great work!

A lovely artistic dock icon replacement set. The icon reminds me of A Fool's Errand.
